Seconde livraison de PPPLUS, versant club du label TCHEAZ, le maxi « Récidive » scelle la fusion entre hédonisme électronique et electronica atmosphérique du producteur amiénois Verlatour.Batteur-producteur hyperactif, membre créateur du duo The Name (B.O de Bref – Canal+ et lives explosifs sur une infinité de scènes hexagonales), il cofonde en 2014 BON TEMPS, label bicéphale dédié à l’art contemporain (Bon Temps Magazine) et aux musiques électroniques (Bon Temps Records).

Singulier dans sa manière d’aborder la chose musicale, Jocelyn Soler dope à l’huile de coude son énergie créative, maltraitant ses instruments au rythme d’une esthétique toute entière dévolue au(x) plaisir(s) du club.

Lunaire, « Récidive » annule la gravité le temps d’un voyage en jetpack autour d’une galaxie lointaine. Désaxé par les cowbells et autres rythmiques surgissantes, le morceau-titre annonce une couleur que confirme « Expedition », aussi chargé en phéromones qu’en dopamine. Panique à bord, tsunami d’amour digital et (invraisemblable) réconciliation entre ceux qui veulent taper du pied et ceux qui veulent dodeliner du chef.

Pour – s’il le fallait – semer encore plus le trouble, 3 remixs et autant de visions hallucinées :
Plaisirs (Bon Temps – Paris/Le Havre) frappe en plein club d’une relecture technoïde au millimètre,
Dawad (La dame Noir, Clouded Vision, IRM – Marseille), ensuite, joue l’apothicaire en inoculant le poison pour mieux délivrer l’antidote
Diapositive (Tcheaz – Marseille), enfin, invoque les réminiscences discos et l’esprit des machines antédiluviennes via un long panégyrique aux idoles électroniques.


Sealing up the fusion between electronic hedonism and atmospheric electronica, here is « Recidive », an EP by French producer Verlatour and the second delivery on PPPLUS, the club oriented sub-label of the Tcheaz imprint.

Hyperactive drummer-producer, part of the duet The Name (responsible of lots of TV programs soundtracks and some explosive livesets on lots of french stages during the past few years), he also founded BON TEMPS, a dual label focused on contemporary art (with Bon Temps Magazine) and electronic music (with Bon Temps Records).

The track « Recidive » is a lunar galactic jetpack fueled tour, featuring wonky cowbells and looming up rhythms, when the second track « Expedition » is as pheromone loaded as dopamine inducing.

3 remixes bring 3 slower and trippy visions of the tracks:
Plaisirs (Bon Temps Records) offers a dark and chiseled technoid rework of « Expedition ».
Dawad (La dame Noir, Clouded Vision, IRM) brings a slow, dark and infectious discoid remix of « Recidive ».
Diapositive (Tcheaz) close the EP with a long trippy and vintage synth infused disco remix of « Recidive ».
